ABOUT JOSH
The People’s Paper and Make A Scene Media started over 16 years ago by Joshua Fryfogle. Starting off as an inspired musician with a song to sing, Josh quickly turned his burning passion for a connected community into a reality. He began with booking for a music venue underneath the City of Wasilla Clock Tower building (now Meta & Rose), then soon after consulting other musicians and other community minded people to do more than what he was capable by himself.
As time continued on and growth in support from others, he started the now popular monthly publication MAKE A SCENE MAGAZINE. From day one, he’s made sure to do several things but two very big ones.
1. KEEPING IT FREE TO THE PUBLIC: Carrying his passion for a more connected community, Josh wanted to make sure that there was no reason to keep public from being able to get this paper and has worked hard to keep it completely FREE to others.
2. SEEKING PUBLICLY SUBMITTED ARTICLES: Today, we all have a difficult time trusting corporate media for understandable circumstances. Josh has always believed in freedom of press and allowing the public to control the narrative. For years, Josh has talked with 100’s if not 1000’s of local people, non-profits, businesses, and others to receive articles written by them. Reverting back to the lost art media was 150 years ago, PEOPLE WRITING AND PROMOTING THEMSELVES! The way it should be.
Now fast forward to today, MAKE A SCENE MAGAZINE has grown into The People’s Paper (https://www.makeasceneak.com/) with over 17,000 Copies and growing rapidly! You can find them all over from Talkeetna to Anchorage! Josh’s desire to create a Media Company for locals to be proud of has not been easy, but because of the communities support and people like you, MAKE A SCENE MEDIA is what it is today.
Now MAKE A SCENE MEDIA has the radio station 95.5 THE PASS KNLT FM (https://www.955knlt.com/), hosts several community events like MUSIC IN THE PARK (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gB3sW3B4pv4), Builds Websites, Film Production, and so much more!
Josh continues to promote and pursue the growth of locals for an affordable price while keeping the control of the narrative in the hands of the public. Please consider donating to support Josh and MAKE A SCENE MEDIA’s mission to give power back to the people and strengthen our diverse community.,
